TRANSBORDER KIRKENES is a master thesis written by Hans Jørgen Wetlesen and Øystein Rø in 2006 at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Faculty of Architecture and Fine Art, Department of Urban Design and Planning.

HANS JØRGEN WETLESEN has a master degree in Architecture from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
He has also studied at the Technical University in Delft in the Netherlands. He has worked amongst others for Plan B Arkitekter. He currently lives in Berlin, Germany.
ØYSTEIN RØ has a master degree in Architecture from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim and has also studied at the Technische Universität in Berlin, Germany. He has worked for several offices both in Norway and Switzerland. Øystein Rø is, together with Espen Røyseland, initiator and owner of the art and architecture gallery PROJEKT 0047 in Berlin.
Øystein Rø runs his own architecture practice besides teaching urbanism at NTNU. He lives and works in Oslo and Trondheim, Norway.
